OBJECTIVE

On the basis of senior citizens card the senior citizens will be allowed:-

• Free of charge entry to public museums, Libraries, Parks and recreation facilities
• Financial support to deserving senior citizens.
• Separate counters for senior citizens in Hospital.
• Concession in Medical and Medicines Charges.
• Separate Medical Wards.
• Membership of Organization of senior citizens Corps.

PROGRESS

• The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa senior citizens act 2014 was promulgated 0n 02-12-2014 and in pursuance of section 3(1) of the Act, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Citizens Welfare Council was established on 22-09-2016
• On 7-11-2017 the Council has approved specimen cards for senior citizens.
• MOU is being signed with HELPAGE International for the purpose of providing financial aid and technical resources for implementation of Senior Citizens Act and formulation of matrix.
• Data regarding senior citizens Has been received from Bureau of Statistics P&D Department and NADRA
